"A swimsuit should hold you the way the sea does — completely."

Sofia left a decade at a Milanese ready-to-wear house to build something quieter and more deliberate. She cuts every first pattern herself on the stone worktable outside the atelier, working in the early morning before the heat arrives. Drape is the collection she always wanted to find on a rack and never did.

"The right fabric doesn't stretch — it yields."

Giulia has spent fifteen years walking the floors of Milanese mills, fingering bolt ends before the buyers arrive. She found our compression fabric in a family mill outside Como that has been weaving for the fashion industry since 1962. It holds its shape after three hundred hours in salt water. She tested it herself.

The Fit Model

Camille Auroux

"I forgot I was wearing it. That's when we knew."

Camille has modelled for three Parisian houses and shoots editorial for two Italian magazines. She joined the sunrise fitting session at the cove below the atelier and spent the morning mid-laugh, moving through the water without once adjusting a strap. The photograph that exists from that morning is the only one we almost didn't take.
